Tige
Like I said in the intro part of it, I found em' by random. There was no intention of me finding em', it just kinda randomly appeared to me as I was searching through the many archives. Though to be fair, he only shows up at least twice so far in all of UOP's records...so that's that....
Addressing on how to explain this may be a bit tricky on how to start this, so why not bring out thee good old 5Ws to: [blank] is Tige?
Forgotten mascot Tige is a cartoon-y esc drawing of a tiger, depicted with the design with (and sometimes) without stripes (appeared once all black). The most common features is of its happy slightly squinted eyes and a grin that stretches across its face eye-to-eye (think of it akin to the comedy and tragedy masks). This tiger also speaks and refers to itself in the 3rd person. It uses anything else, including its own name, instead of ever using "I".
Self Preposed theory
Though there's not much else I can say about him, I myself, have a possible reason as to one of the many why questions that may be asked: Why was he forgotten?
The most likely possible reasons as to why may of 2 factors at play: How well it was received by others and its design.
"Well Received"
What I mean is that, how people accepted it, in a way of speaking. So it may have not been well liked by others enough for it to be come memorable enough to be remembered nor even to be the ideal mascot in mind by the masses.
Design
I don't many of any who would want that as their mascot nor would want it too look like that. No offense to the artist or the people/person who came up with it, its just something that doesn't fit right for a university (unless it was in fiction or for something in the horror genre etc). Plus imagine if there were costumes of that. I think it would most likely scare a lot of kids and possible those older as well. Plus it kinda gives the vibe like its too eager to be near you or children like some type of predator thing (either to kill or something else... not pleasant)
