(I don't own any of these pictures above. This is only used for example and nothing else)

Love them or hate them, they be everywhere. They usually have a an actual purpose other than "to make money", at least the corporations types...but not the ones in the world of education...actually they might have a hint of that too, but it's not like the corporate ones. They too have a reason, but not many know why? how? etc. or even pondered the thought at all. Heck you can pick anything to be represented by but there's always some reason to it it, even if there's no real meaning to it; that's still a reason. Wait....where was I going with this? Oh-- right!~~~~ How come I be talking about mascots? Well, let me take you to a place in Stockton California called/named University of the Pacific (UOP).

Its a well known university/collage with 2 other locations under it's belt and a shit more that I won't go into because that's not part of my priorities (or even part of this topic), anyway.... at UOP they have a tiger mascot named Powercat. Most might not know the name, but sure as hell, they'll know that it's a tiger (just ask anyone of what the mascot is and they will tell you). But have you ever wondered why its tiger? Or what was it before the tiger? (if there was even one at all) Or what's its reason? No? Well too bad, I tell you anyway! (If you said yes, that's nice; if you don't care or didn't have a response, you reading this or even finding this website means it found you (for some reason) and is the university telling you that this may be interesting {or something Idk}.

Down here, you'll explore and see what I have dug up about its history to this mascot. As well as some other interesting tib-bites.

Cat

"They're gr-r-eat!" wait......wrong tiger. oops *tee-hee*

the image may not be a tiger, but technically: isn't a tiger just a really big cat?

Time

It was pretty ugly back then in my opinion.
